If my kids dad was deported but were still technicaly married?
but have not been together for 5 yrs and idk where he is, can i get passports for my children? im confused because i know under 18 needs both parents, but hes not here nor do i know of him, how do i go about this? please help and no wise cracks im serious.If my kids dad was deported but were still technicaly married?

If there is an atheist married to a christian, then out of respect for the christian partner, he/she might marry in church. That does not mean he believes in christianity, therefore does not make him a hypocrite.

I mean, it is just a tradition to get married in churches. You don't have to be religious or believe in God to get married. You just have to believe that you and the man/women that you love can spend the rest of their lives together, and be happy.
Of course, a couple of hardcore atheists could just as easily get married in a courthouse, or on a ship.

So, after 10 years, and currently living together, I guess you can see as in some legal sence you get married benefits. However, there are some benefits you may not get like visitation at hospitals or perhaps other death benefits if the case arose.
