Day? She went into the break room and showed all her secretary pals the pearl necklace, saying, ';I can't believe he lavished me like this!'; She's 20 and some say very attractive. (Being married, I do not notice such things.)





I didn't expect her to be so outward with her excitement, and now I'm afraid my wife will find out.Considering I'm married, was it wrong to give my secretary a pearl necklace for Administrative Professionals?

You know what they say if your afraid of your wife finding out about something that you did then you probably shouldn't have done it and it was wrong or there would be nothing to worry about.

And maybe you should think about buying your wife a necklace Next time instead of your hot young Secretary.
Nothing wrong in giving the present. But she should not have shared with everyone. That would be interpreted wrongly. Imagine someone calling your wife and telling her ? You will have to wear different necklace and hang yourself after going home ! friend ! I have gone through all these and made many mistakes ! please do not do these mistakes again ! ( Of-course you can do some new mistakes ! )
What's with this weekend crowd? That was very nice and thoughtful of you. Not all pearl necklaces are that expensive, though, and you didn't say how much it cost. I'm assuming it was nice and pretty, but reasonably priced. If your wife finds out, you might think about what piece of jewelry you'll be buying her for Mother's Day or her birthday.

There's nothing wrong with acknowledging your secretary, by giving her a gift, for Administrative Professionals Day. However, I for one, do believe that a pearl necklace was an inappropriate gift. That's more of a romantic gift for a girlfriend or wife from her significant other.
Duh!! I would be mad....furious even if my husband bought something for another women. Never do that!! If you were worried your wife would find out why did you buy it to begin with? Obviously you knew it was wrong otherwise you wouldnt care if she found out. You could try buying something BIGGER and BETTER for your wife.
I give gifts to my secretaries all the times the last 20 years. It should not be a problem at all with your spouse. However, the kind of gift you gave may be troublesome. Necklace can be improper just like lingerie, lover gift, intimate gift.

Okie Dokie, if you are afraid that your wife will find out there is your answer. I think it's a little much to give her a pearl necklace and I am sure you have noticed that she is attractive. Flowers would have been a little more in line.
I don't have a problem with my husband giving his Secretary a present on Secretary's day something like a plant or gift card but necklace is a no no ..But that is just you, you weird any way.
Explain to her that you gave her the gift as a token of your friendship and that although she is a very nice girl you don't have those type of feelings for her.
