Just asking your opinion. If aheists get married in church would`nt that make them Hypocrites?
It would make them married. They already are hypocrites for saying they are not a part of a religion. If aheists get married in church would`nt that make them Hypocrites?
If there are two atheists getting married, then I am quite sure it would not be in a church.
If there is an atheist married to a christian, then out of respect for the christian partner, he/she might marry in church. That does not mean he believes in christianity, therefore does not make him a hypocrite.
It's not really that big of a deal.
I mean, it is just a tradition to get married in churches. You don't have to be religious or believe in God to get married. You just have to believe that you and the man/women that you love can spend the rest of their lives together, and be happy.
Of course, a couple of hardcore atheists could just as easily get married in a courthouse, or on a ship.
no
as a church is nowadays where people can and do get married
its a beautifil building to have a wedding, a gorgeous set, usually looks amazing
i wont be married in one, but, i think its fine for those who do
its up to the individuals, but, sadly, many people still do soem things just to please soem family memebers
If my spouse was religious and wanted to get married in a church I would have no problem with that. It wouldn't make me a hypocrite though. Otherwise I would get married in a civil ceremony.
it depends on their reason for getting married in a church i think. it would be possible that they would do it to make their family happy, or just because they thought the church was a pretty place just with no special meaning.
I didn't marry in a church because I do believe it to be hypocritical for me. Some do though to please their spouse to be. To each his/her own.
to an athiest a church is only a building, typically an expensive building some of which look really nice
aheists?
IF an atheist got married in a church with a religious ceremony it would be because it is what THEIR partner wants.
No. Getting married in a big church is a status symbol these days, but more likely they are doing so to appease family
If anyone gets married anywhere wouldn't that make them stupid.
To call someone a hypocrite is hypocrisy in itself.
WE ARE ALL HYPOCRITES.
We get married in courthouses.
No different than those who profess to believe and later divorce.
i would think so...im an atheist and i certainly dont plan on setting foot in a church for as long as im alive.
I doubt a true Atheist would marry some one who wanted to get married in a church.
Marriage doesn't have to be based on religion. ;)
No, and why would they.
Um, no....because they're just getting married....
Nope. We don't have a rule against it.
when did atheists say people shouldn't marry in churches?
wtf... spell check...
annoying...
